For my senior project, I will be interning in a various number of companies. I will be shadowing in Mr. Hannon’s company, Mr. Volkel’s company, and Mr. Levinson’s company. Both Mr. Hannon’s and Mr. Volkel’s companies are high-tech manufacturing company. And Mr. Levinson’s company is about fashion design. I will try to learn about the financial structure and marketing strategies of these companies.

The goal of my project is to show the importance of interpersonal relationships through photographs and interviews. I’ll be talking to almost 100 people and recounting their experiences on a separate blog that I’ll link to this one when it gets set up.

I will be shadowing two different architects at their firms, and a veterinary clinic. My plan is to be an Architect, but I’m also shadowing a vet in the interest of broadening my horizons.

For the first part of my project, I will be interning at Gambrill Gardens, which is a senior living community. Their location provides both independent and assisted living facilities.  I will spend most of my time working with the activities director to organize games and/or events for the residents, but I will also assist the residents during dining hours and shadowing the head of finances.

During the second half of my project, I will be shadowing a counselor and a teacher at Parkway Southwest Middle School.

I will also take an Italian class (at St. Louis Community College) two hours per week throughout my project.

 

 

I will be:

1. Writing a novel titled “An Occult View of the Current Conflict in Vietnam”.
2. Planning several sports camps, one to be conducted with Coach Frye, the other two in the Summer (one soccer, one basketball).
3. Conducting personal training sessions for student athletes, specifically to increase basketball-skill(z).
4. Teaching a week long athletics unit to the Fulton students about basketball and how it can help you stop being a lil snot.

I am going to be spending multiple weeks at four different companies in St. Louis, Cleveland, and Boston. I will be learning all parts of how both large and small companies work, but I will have an emphasis on engineering and mechanical research departments.

Wow fellow seniors! Hard to believe this time is here, present right now, we are in the moment, currently! My senior project will be helping the youth! In a way! My senior project will be me documenting my adventures around the United States of America and her wonderful parks, towns, and teritories! This will include information pertaining to plants and animals….geography….site history….and everything in between!

In college, I am planning on pursuing a bachelors of science in nursing. I spent a lot of time during the previous two years shadowing/volunteering at Missouri Baptist, Mercy, and St. Luke’s hospitals. Due to restrictions, I am not able to do much while volunteering at these places (and have already done as much as allowed). For this reason, I have mostly focused on other interests (that should still help me in the nursing field) to pursue during my senior project.

I will spend my time at four different locations. I will be with Mrs. Fu while at school—helping with math classes in the mornings and curriculum in the afternoons. I will then spend two weeks at Our Lady’s Inn helping homeless women that are or have recently been pregnant. I will spend time with the children at Crisis Nursery North for one week, and finish up by shadowing nurses on various units at Missouri Baptist Medical Center.
