It has been a pretty cool week so far. I had a comprehensive tour of the factory on Tuesday. One of the employees there, Ronnie, taught me all the basic things about the company expense and how they set a price for certain project. On Wednesday, Mr. Conway, the CFO of the company, invited me to watch a meeting that they have every morning which is about the OEE of the factory on the previous day. It was a pretty long and elaborate conference. They talked about all the details of the issues and the potential solutions for them.

Have you met Mr. Voelkel and seen what he does at the company?
Yeah, I have, but only two times. He was mostly in the second conference room meeting with clients. By far, it seems like his job is more focusing on seeking new business opportunities and clients.
That sounds cool. What will some of your responsibilities be as an intern? Will you work in the offices or in the factory?
Thanks! I was mostly working in the office, doing a lot of printing and excel work.
Perhaps more or less like an office Clark.
Do you like doing it as a job for a long term? Or you would prefer to help with something else. If so, what do you want to do in that company?
Hey Liqi! What exactly does Semco do? How did you find out about it?
What things did you learn on the tour?
With regards to what you learned from Ronnie, what goes into the pricing of a project? How did this change what you already knew about that aspect of manufacturing?
What did you learn in the meeting what? Can you talk about an issue that was discussed? Was it resolved during the meeting?
