day 4

Current schedule: doing around six to eight hours of renovation work for grandparents in the day, not part of project plan. To work around this I’ve been testing varying interval workouts for a personal training client once I get home (around 7:00 or 8:00 PM) and have been planning the basketball lessons for lower school next week and working on novel in the night.

Current progress: nearly done with a fresh chapter for novel, currently at an eighty-three page total. Have sent plans to Coach Sharma for doing a gym unit on basketball for lower school next week. Have made and sent several workouts to client, will be playing basketball with him this weekend to assess current skill level.

  1. Am I allowed to join your camp? What kind of renovations are you doing? And lastly, can you give us a sneak peek of what your novel is about so far?

    1. If you’d like your welcome to join the camp, it’s 25 dollars per athlete, or if you’re around and would like to stop by and visit during one of the gym classes I’ll be teaching at school this upcoming week (pre-school through 8th grade). We’re basically removing their old bathroom, putting up new walls, appliances, and installing new piping. I’m going to put up something about the novel, either in pdf form or on some sort of blog asap!

      1. I will try to stop by sometime! And that is really cool, I’m sure they’re really grateful to have you working on that. As far as your novel plans, yes, do it!

  2. Do you have time to sleep in between all of this work? Also, what kind of drills are you having the lower schoolers do? Also, what kind of book are you writing?

    1. I’ve been getting a bit less sleep then I usually did during the school year and have been trying to catch up with naps and sleeping in when I can. For the pre-school I’m going to kind of just let them shoot, dribble, pass and do what they want. For 1st-3rd it’ll be more structured around teaching basics and rules via games like knockout, hotshot, and a simon says with basketball moves included. 4th-6th and the middle school will learn some different dribble moves, layup variants, and defensive tactics but for the most part I want the classes to get at least 10-15 minutes scrimmaging with each other and just having fun playing.
